it is constructive - as it might prevent 'newbies' from buying something that is not what they might have expected.
this frame is not a track frame. -

I've had a couple of track frames with a drilled rear brake bridge. Sometimes a framebuilder will use what they've got in stock, if it happens to be drilled then it happens to be drilled! It doesn't mean it isn't a track frame... TBH - this frame isn't my cup of tea but it could be someone's and it's not a bad price for what it is.

Track frame...can be used on a track...and this can be...

I'm absolutely open to be taught otherwise.
It's just that there are quite a lot street hipster kid frames out there which are marketed as track frames, and that's just not ok.
This ^ frame looks exactly like that to me, 2 months old, 3.3kg, tigged, unicrown forks, obscure tubing, full brake bridge, can't see it, but please prove me wrong. -
• #11
It's pretty clear you don't like it. Which is cool, I don't particularly like it much either.
However - you haven't proven that it isn't what the seller says it is... in which case your speculative remarks are baseless. Leave it to a potential buyer to make their own mind up about whether or not they want to purchase this... I'm sure they're perfectly capable of doing their own homework.

Track frames on track?! And people do this?
Drilled for brakes = not a track frame
Drilled for brakes and vintage = track frame (or path)
Drilled for brakes, track dropouts = fixéhfact

This track/ not track shite is hair-splitting idiocy.
-
• #17
Oh it is - that's why do not name SS frame "track" or Russian track frame "keirin".

And a Fiesta with a spoiler ain't an Indy racer.

It's pretty simple, one blessing of this forum is to be safe from all the marketing blurb out there, so let's keep it true and modest and no one gets hurt.

Anyone who does buy this does at least know the shipping is track(ed). ;)

you lot are jokes. I'll give you an example.
here is a modern track bike
it is drilled for brakes both front and back, but it is still a track bike.A track bike might have different geometry, but as long as the bottom bracket is high enough, it can be used on the track regardless of what other holes are present in it.
Let the man get on with his sale.
