I know, by the time you've started trying to determine who should get what based on company size or profits or whatever you're probably spending more than you're saving just sorting out everyone. Would be nice if they had some morals and did it voluntarily, but then they probably wouldn't be such big rich arseholes if they had morals.

I share the sentiment. But I don't really see how there's any objective way of distinguishing the 'good' employers from the 'bad' ones. Without putting the editor of the Guardian in charge, anyway. As I see it, it's more a symptom of underlying structural issues with the economy rather than a problem with the furlough scheme itself.
