Is there a confirmed meeting time/point for this yet? Also, mastershredder, is your route going to use loads of busy roads, or do you know a quiet route out there? Happy to lend a hand with the route if you want.

Cheers appreciate the offer. I got a quite quiet route, the only busy road is stratford road (Robin Hood Island to Shirley) but i guess it depends on your definition of busy. I'm all ears if you know an quieter way to shirley/earlswood lakes. Also you coming on tandem? can I have a go?
Meeting wise, shall we say Moseley Square (outside the bullshead pub) at 11am?

Yes. And minimal waiting for stragglers, 20 mins?
-
• #62
quietest way i've been is through yardley wood/back of the maypole/wythall etc...

Can someone plot the route using www.ridewithgps.com ?
-
• #64
South birmingham all roads link up to each other and roadsigns are pretty good.

Why? I won't and minimal waiting for stragglers, 15mins-you snooze you lose!

Agreed, food ride rules do not apply!!
-

Totally agree with the 15min waiting rule. Really REALLY do not want to be waiting around in Moseley...
@ Shredder - from there, the quietest, nicest route is round the back of Kings Heath, past the golf course, to the maypole, then round the back of Hollywood to the lakes. Probably the same as Nelson's suggestion.
Of course you can have a go on the tandem. Probably best on a country road. It has SPDs on, but fine for short distance...

sweet, lets do that route to Earlswood Lakes then. I forgot to mention I only ride tandems naked...

In that case, you're only allowed on the back.

Yeah that looks nice and flat!

the ride is +/- 20 miles, that's just a 7 mile segment, doubt we'll return same route

Fixed gear all the way.
LMAO that roller coaster is the funniest thing I've seen in a while!
Pedobear, Longcat and Chuck Norris!
