Anyone got a head strap mount or a body strap mount for a GoPro hero 5 I could borrow for a couple of weeks beginning of Aug? Beer and cakes for you. Cheers.

Ok, so went and got a Veho Muvi K2 second hand off ebay, it looks brand new and works a treat, however the damn thing won't turn off at the switch on the front. I would really prefer not to send it back as that's just a pain in the arse and I got it dirt cheap, just wondering if anyone has had issues with this camera and had them sorted? Wondering if it's worth taking a spanner to it myself to have a nosey and see if there is anything loose inside or if I'll bugger it further.
You can work around the switch problem by removing the battery and re-inserting it, as long as the on/off switch is in the off position. Anyone had one of these cams with a similar problem and preferably a solution?

Ooh, they've improved their mount:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/GoPro-Handlebar-Seatpost-Mount-Camera/dp/B01GCKO96C/
I need me some of these too:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-Extreme-microSDXC-Memory-Adapter/dp/B01DYN4VPE/
I'm finding a 1 hour commute each way sometimes fills up a 64GB card.

Aldi have a camera + light for sale

I charge after every commute, but it should be around 3 hours.
Whent the battery doesn't fail totally, that is - I'm on number 3...

Got pissed off with the session eventually.
I still use it but finally found a deal on a fly 12 which has been good so far

£46 for a mount?
Is the improvement blow jobs?

SJCAM M20 + Fly6 a decent combo? Best place to buy?
£96.69 (nice price)

Do you need 4K? The 1080p Apeman one I got from Amazon was only £30 IIRC. Does cyclical recording and battery life gets me to and from work, an hour each way.
-
• #636
Nope, just seemed to be a 'go to' lots of people rated and had a lot of mounting options.
£30 ftw!

The case uses the same format as all the gopro stuff. Camera was a little loose in the case but I just stuck a couple of those sticky back furniture feet foam pads in and it is a lot better than the above video. Comes with a load of mounting bits but I may still get the new gopro handlebar mount that Velocio linked to as it would be neater than what I'm using.
Totally up to you though.

I'll have a look. I had three fucking close passes this morning. It's almost like the extra blinky light I added back onto the bike (because dark) is attracting
butterfliescunts. So, time to bite the bullet, get a cam and shop the cunts, because I just can't remember all the lic. plates. -

What do you guys use to edit the fly6 videos? I'm having trouble getting anything other than VLC to even recognize the codec.
-
• #640
You should be able to use VLC to convert the video to a different format.

Being able to control the fly12 light from a head unit would be good - the button is fiddlier than Rolf Harris at a convent school, particularly if you have the light mounted under the bars / out in front
-
• #643
Where's the button on it? Oh, I'm only interested in the rear (ooh nurse).
I have enough front lights already so was just going to get one of those £30 cameras up front.
I've still not bought either of course. -

Get the old fly6 then - there's no appreciable increase in function in the new one - it's not like you have to change the flash rate when young go from riding in the street to riding in the park
-
• #645
But but but it's 17g lighter!!! Wider camera angle, brighter, I don't know what the old runtime is so can't compare it with the stated 7hrs of the new one.
Most likely I'll wait to see if the original is any cheaper when the new one comes out.

wait to see if the original is any cheaper
Dis why I say it, yeah
-
• #647
I was hoping you were going to say something like "wow, 7hrs is way longer than I get out of my current one, definitely pay for the new one", spoilsport.
-
• #648
I'll test how long the old one lasts & let you know.
It lasts at least 3hours with flashing at mid intensity though.

I bought a Fly6 from Sigma for ~80quid. It's fucking huge.

Afternoon all, I'm heading out to the mountains in afew months and looking for a light weight but cheap 1080P camera which I can strap to the front of my bike to film (sweet) descents. Any recommendations around the 34-40 quid mark? Are there any benefits to a more expensive set up bearing in mind I will not use this for much else? Maybe it's difficult to convert due to weird file format or something?
@stevo_com - How is that Amazon one you mantioned above? WHat sort of clamp does it come with?
Anyone able to give me a real world run time for a fly12 recording with the light on flash?
My session battery life is pissing me off. Changing the settings has helped a bit but if I don't forget to charge after every commute I've had it.
