  • That looks exactly like what I want to build atm

Same here, i wasn't sure about the compact drops but its growing on me, look great on yours

    Really aggressive position?

  • Please don't. I'd like to build one too, but don't have the space to store it so it would be cruel.

I won't post any pictures, honest! And I'm irish so you wont have to deal with seeing me and feeling bad.

  • Cake, any chance of you posting a few more pics? That looks exactly like what I want to build atm

    Will try over the weekend

    Sorry.

Not as aggressive as it looks, camera angle innit.

  • Muddy hell?

  • why not put a knobby tyre on the back?

  • Muddy hell?

Unlikely. Bike's for posing commuting and cocking about.

Too unfit and unhealthy to race.

why not put a knobby tyre on the back?

Same reason there's a canti on the front and a mini v on the back. These are what were in the house.

  • Terrible pic. Again.

But happy with how it's worked out, everything's pretty dialled now.

Looks rubbish. Except for the Woodys stickers.

  • Dick off langster boy.

  • I need a pompino back in my life.

  • Dick off langster boy.

Your pompino looks like a cross between a Create and a freestyle skooter.

My Langster looks like a cross between Tom Selleck and the volly ball seen from Top Gun.

  • ^ I'm not sure which of these is supposed to be better??

  • Your pompino looks like a cross between a Create and a freestyle skooter.

My Langster looks like a cross between Tom Selleck and the volly ball seen from Top Gun.

More like Elton john and a pair of roller blades.

  • My pop. Pretty good for commuting when it's wet, what it gets used for.

  • No mudguard for the wetness there?

  • Yeah, not like you haven't got the room for them

  • No money for mudguards, right now.
Money goes on the road bike, or food to power me.

  • Just order a frame and fork in the sale in blue.

    Building it up on a tight budget so will be using;

    V-Sprint wheels
    Tektro Cantis
    Lasco cranks

And random parts from the bits bin...

  • just lovely pompino (not mine):

  • Carbon forks just make them look a hundred time better.

  • just lovely pompino

    +1

Carbon forks just make them look a hundred time better.

+1 but I prefer a straight blade like cake has on his. Just can't get on with any bike that has a sloping top tube and curved fork.

  • Carbon forks just make them look a hundred time better.

It would look better if it was the same colour though...
In my quest for a fork for mine I came to the conclusion that a segmented fork would work best aesthetically, as they mirror the stays.

  • The practicality of the pomp is calling out to me..

  • Had my pompino since may. As already stated the paint is pretty much falling off which upset me for the first few days, but just adds to the overall look. Was going to strip and spray but then id care too much about it, and thats not why i bought it.

That said i find it really comfortable on the road and great fun around the local woods, so for what it cost its the best bike i ever had. Will pick up a carbon fork when funds allow as the stock fork is a bit much.

  • Arghhhh just received my f & f, they sent dark blue 2012 forks with a light blue 2011 frame!

  • Show us; that might look nice.
