Also found out in my research last night that the fork is shorter than standard cross forks. I have a Ritchey that I was hoping to use.
Bit late for this, but it's either 390 or 400.

I went from Tektro RX-5 to TRP CX8.4 (Sram levers) and its a significant upgrade in braking (power and modulation) and maintenance (due to design). I run 35mm Kojaks on a wide rim with 45mm mudguards; all good.
Both have 85mm arms. IMO they shouldnt be any taller paired with standard drop bar levers.

Kojak's are totally in right now. Also they look cool. Might get some.
Puncture-resistance for London's glassy streets?

as a grimpeur I havent punctu**d for last 1120 miles. Its my commuter, winter bike.
Given cycling is my hobby where most of my disposable income goes, I like good tyres that roll quick. I am ok to give up a little protection as a trade off. I also have latex tubes with sealant in mine. If I was a utilitarian I'd go Marathon Plus or something.

And yet you're riding Kojaks ;)

On my other bike I ride compass ;)
But when Kojaks die I'll get Bon Jon or something.
Kojaks are best of both I think; even better than Marathon Supreme. -

....i measured 390, they are indeed quite short.
-
• #5686
5mm difference is hardly short, so putting a CX fork will be fine.

Pompinos ride best with original forks (or matching A2C, like the Woundup Commuter)

All black Wound-Up look awesome on it.
Actually made it look like the frame is worth something.

That's double the cost of an new frame!!

• #5692
He wants new forks, not a new frame.
-
• #5693
except you can't buy a new pet frame.

We've been here before, plenty of people are happy riding Pomps with forks which cost more than the frame.

Tyre size: up to max. 700c x 28mm
Surely that can't be true.

It's not, just someone forget to edit the template.

This. Even if pomp is cheap, doesn't mean it's bad :)
I had ritchey wcs cross fork for a while, but the 400mm a-c wasn't so nice to drive. Didn't find any carbon forks with the original 390mm a-c so i got myself a straight blade steel fork.

Isn't it 395mm?

Ritchey? Older one was 400, new ones are 395, yes
I'm running mini Vs with 32c tyres and 45mm mudguards.
The front brake fouls the guard but I could solve this by filing our the metal clip that attached the guard to the brake hole.
