I've got the narrow SKSs Chromeplastics with 28c Gatorskins. There is quite a bit of space and I'm guessing that they would take 32c, just about. The pinch point is the bolt head going into the bottom of the seatpost (had to drill a hole through the 'guard and used one of the fixing bolts plus 2 x washers), although you could probably use some form of recessed bolt.

Cheers.
How small is 'small' and how much do you want for the kool stops? - I've got tekro 720s any thoughts on whether they'll fit?

Might be worth mentioning that the on-one macinato is on sale today for £99. Seems like a bargain at that price.

Has anyone else got one of the newer pompino frames without the integrated rear cable hanger who is running a back canti brake - how have you got round this? For the life of me I cannot find a 28.9mm seatpost clamp with cable hanger, the Surly thing was too long and the Dia Compe Adjustable Angle Brake Hanger is too thick...any other ideas?

I know I've suggested it before, but they're worth a go as they're very cheap - can always go back to cantis if you don't get on with them.

Even the cheapest one melodically set-up still feel powerful than the cheapest cantis.

How good would they be if they were tuned?

I've noticed with my pompino that I have to have the saddle much further forward on the rails (On-One twelfty post) to get my usual fore-aft position (~10cm). Made me wonder, is there some point to having a far back saddle? Does it work better with an overall more 'relaxed' position? Always been a mystery to me...

If you raise the bars, you would need to move the saddle back to maintain the same hip closure angle. Think of it as the opposite to a TT position, where it is common to move the saddle forward to accommodate a very low front end.

Depending how much your post is sticking out, the seat tube is set at 73-ish degrees hence assuming your bars stays put, the higher you go, the further over the back wheel you get.

^^OK thanks that makes sense. So, it's like your overall position has rotated? Looks like I might have to invest in a stem with a bit more rise.

Where can one buy on one bikes in london? I can only find their website on the internet, no shops. I'd like to see one in the flesh, pick it up like, before buying one.

Magic bikes are now defunct - went out of business a couple of months back now.
Keep up Ed...

William, was it a pompino you wanted to look at? I have one of the new frames newly built up if you wanna check it out you can pop round anytime.
I'm not sure exactly what size they are (embarrassingly!) - picked them
up in Evans after a few but they're definitely not 20-28, they're the next size up, whatever that is.
Currently running them with 23s as I've put my lightweight wheelset on for the weekend and they don't look too silly with them on
