  • Do I read the site correctly? V4 is a frame set (ie includes forks) where as V3 was frame only with forks purchased separately?

  • I know there's not chart yet, but does look better - looks like a lower BB, Steeper HA and SA.

  • Is a lower BB an advantage? I don't think it is for me.

  • 66 is nice

  • Raise or lower the BB 10mm by choice of tyres and inflation.

    Head angle - 72
    seat angle - 72.5

    Steeper head angle than 73deg?

  • sounds promising. Been thinking about getting a pomp for beater / rainy weather duties.

  • So I rang PX again on Monday...... My V4 will be with me tomorrow. Apparently it hadn't shipped because some one hadn't unchecked 'white' on my order and because they don't do it anymore it didn't update to my matt raw choice, so, nothing shipped.

  • My V4 arrived today, looks pretty good. It does come with forks now too.

  • Any update on Geo?

  • no idea, it just came in a brown box..

  • The geo will be highly likely to be the same as the new Kaffenback 2 since the old one is identical to the old Pompino.

slacker seat angle is a good move, fit a bigger range of people.

  • Has anyone ridden a katf 2?

Just wondering what the difference between that and the new genesis road disc bike is. I'm guess the kaff has cheaper tubing, is heavier and less nicely finished.... But then it's cheaper too.

  • I would probably compare the kaff to the CdF rather than the Equilibrium.

On paper it look good, way better specced than the CdF (Sora), but have no idea how it ride.

  • On One site says "Taking the lead from the Kaffenback, seat angles have been steepened, nudging you a bit more forward and making things more aggressive overall." but the old Pomp had a 73.5 deg seat angle no? Think the Kaff got slacker too didn't it?

  • Kaff's 72.5, sound like they went for a 74.

75 would be pushing it (and fit a lots less people).

  • some people been saying the old pomp geo chart was complitely wrong and never fixed

  • more likely the old pomp was like pompetamine:

    http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/FROOPO135/on-one-pompetamine-frame

    with 72 seat angle -> 72,5

That's a good point, I find my Pompino's (2010) seat tube to be too slack, that I end up needing an inline post and saddle set forward a bit.

  • I've just put it together with all the bits for the build. My seat clamp cable guide is the wrong size and I bought a 1/8 freewheel instead of 3/32 but I'll sort those bits tomorrow. I think it looks pretty good so far.

    So still 120 rear spacing?

also slack what size did you get? are you able to measure the top tube for us?
    cheers

Wondering the same myself as planning a CX type build. I guess the Genesis has a better paint job. The one I park next to a work certainly seems to have a higher quality paint job. My Pomp chips very easily.

  • The paint on my 2012 is holding up great.
