  • I'm 6'1" and my Pompetamine is an XL

  • I'm 6 ft with 32 in inside leg I think and ride L with a 110 stem. Wouldn't want a bigger frame at all.

  • Radical. Thanks guys. That's good enough for me. Gonna buy it now!

  • New Pomp will be up tomorrow according to their FB. Hoping for 135mm and some geo changes..

  • fb?

  • Facebook?

  • Front bottom.

  • Any recommendations for a replacement fork for the pomp?

I'm looking for something that has eyelets for mudguards, has eyelets at mid-fork height for a lowrider rack, is steel, and has canti mounts.

  • sounds like something surly.

  • Surly or Salsa would be a good starting point.

  • Surly Cross-check fork have similar A2C as the claimed Pompino (On-one said 400mm).

  • All city nature boy fork?

  • No mid-fork eyelets

  • I was thinking of the surly cross check fork. I must admit I dont really fancy the lugged crown though. Just an aesthetic thing. Not sure it would look right on the pomp frame.

What salsa fork should I be looking at?

And what do people think about custom forks? I did consider just adding eyelets to the stock pomp fork but builders are quoting 50 pounds for the work and a respray would be needed. So its not looking a sensible option.

There are also clamp on adaptors for forks to run low rider racks; made by tubus and costing a tenner or so...

  • Nature Boy forks have a lugged crown - they look pretty good on a pompino IMO.

Kona project 2 touring fork has everything even disk tabs

  • Got mixed up with the Salsa forks - the Vaya fork ticks all the boxes except for canti studs, running a front disc out of the question?

Dave: Didn't think Kona P2 had mid-blade eyelets?

  • Fair enough. They should really have called their forks different things.

  • Yeah it's pretty difficult searching for the one you want.

I have the disc only fork, with no mid blade eyelets

  • Wish they would hurry up already.

  • ^^^^^^yep, they're the ones

    Has this been resolved yet?

  • Grrr....

Took my pomp in for a service/few bits today including tyres because I know they do Schwalbe Durano Plusses. He rings me at lunchtime to say he can put Conti Touring Pros on or Conti Hardshell thingies cos they're out of Duranos. I chose Touring and now think I'm regretting it.
