I got my ticket also 205Km. Will be my first year and I can't wait.
Does anyone know what the best bet for cheap accommodation is in the area or if there are any campsites?
-
• #3
This looks fantastic!
What bikes are you guys taking?
-
• #4
there is a campsite put on in gaiole but to be honest i would avoid camping as it's fricking freezing at night and for the 5.30 start... there are lots of B&B's about though try expedia?

john who road last year set off at 5.30 and didn't get back to gaoile till 6we have to at least do a few 100-150 milers around yorkshire between now and then - i was thinking of doing a century a month to get used to it - set off as early as poss and see how far we can get

If it's any consolation, I'm 38 this year! My wife, bless her, is 42.
All that clean living and exercise probably makes you physically about 15, so I wouldn't worry about hitting 40!
Now stop being a silly sausage and sign up for this event!

I like the choice of dates - I'll let you know. Got to break it to the missus that I've registered!

Anyone else signed up yet? Entries started yesterday for this year's ride on 2 October in Tuscanny. It's limited to 500 non-Italians, but I see that one (of the very few) advantages of being an over-60 like me is that this age range isn't limited :-)
See you there I hope!
