  • Can't stop watching it

  • Nice one for Playback heads up.

  • 'UK Garage' is a name hijacked by the music press and shit London DJ's like EZ, Tuff Jam, Norris Da Boss etc to pigeonhole the new way of playing HOUSE - basically pitching decent NYC vocal House and GARAGE up to +8 so it sounded obviously quicker and shite high pitched vocals.
Grant Nelson was another, used to make decent enough UK HOUSE but they all played on +8, a lot of the dubs had a 2/2 beat as oppose to a classic 4/4 beat - hence where the name '2Step' came from

The biggest shite crossover song for the new genre was 'Gabriel'(above) and that wank 'Never Gonna Let You Go'

    Speed Cabbage was born

I would argue it was Armand Van Helden hat ruined things. Listen to the structure of his MAW Run away plus the Sneaker Pimps spin spin sugar...They had the exact same massive build up with the effects all over the vocals before the massive drop. Sadly UK producers bit this style so hard and failed to develop it, I jumped off.

There are some bangers that came before the majority of the stuff posted here which is mostly speed garage compilation fodder.
