It was fine at 9-10am this morning but there were still frozen puddles at the side of the road.

There's a burst water pipe in the road at the top of Margery Street on Amwell Street, it's prone to freezing the road in to sheet ice.

It had taken out a cyclist this morning when I rode past (she already had people helping her).

Careful out there people!

Did this on Saturday. Intentionally busier roads to avoid ice. Fine and chilly.

I live round the corner on grove road. Whats that like for traffic on the route? Looks like a good ride.

All the roads are busier than are usual lanes but that’s the trade off I guess.

@cjr has a 100km version with a train back from Cheshunt I think.

is the longer one.

When you cross the M11, go straight ahead not up Roding Lane, at the next junction take another left and you are back on the route. Roding Lane has a perpetual water leak so is always the first to freeze up.
