Spring today. Look at it. Glorious.

Lovely isn't it. I've looked at it out the window, then considered how I'm going to go and ride in a tent tonight for an hour and a half in the dark.

I doubt any of you will go down this way, but on the south side of the small bridge that crosses the Medway at Teston is (I think) a diesel spill. Had the rear wheel skid sideways about a foot while doing approx 25mph earlier. God knows how I didn't stack it.

Diesel spills! Fuck and I thought it was safe out there.
Had amazing fun today, descending in 53x12 with complete confidence

Just put some our cars as we live at 265m....they're really good on ice and snow better than the chains we've used the last few winters.
Edit: that's one of the videos that convinced me to spend all that money.
Spikes on the mtb....missing the fixie tho.

^^ Massive difference in stopping distance there! Damn.

Great on snow and ice yes. I've had a pair for the last couple of years waiting in the garage until we have enough snow that isn't cleared to use them.

There is a nasty patch of black ice on Wilton Way in Hackney due to a broken water pipe.

A413 big patch near the Old Amersham Rd.
Shitloads in the hills.
<<< Turbo
Ice patches can sneak up on you when you least expect it, though some spots tend to be more liable to icing over than others.
Post if you've come across any icey patches of road on your daily travels or weekend ride.
