-
• #230
I'm on the train back from Manchester at the moment, overslept so I'm out :( (ill donate an extra 2quid next week though)
-
• #231
3 of us here now.
Rain's stopped, need more players!
-
• #232
Bombed out due to my incompetence
apologies Al -
• #233
we had 5 in the end, one net, good practice. we didn't let Amygdala bowl quick most of the time!
almac has paid in advance for these sessions so they will go ahead barring *proper *rain.
-
• #234
Cheers for the great session guys. I'll endeavour to bring a cricket helmet along next week (to protect me against alockett's bodyline spin!)

• #235
When's the first game? Bike Radear vs LFGSS? Happy to came along to get pissed and shout insults/throw bike parts from the boundary...

maybe we can have our bowlers go off for treatment and get you in as a substitute fielder to shout those insults from the slip cordon.
how do you pronounce "bike radar >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>" ?

• #237
Shoulder still sore - damn that leg spin.
Still a roast dinner and bed should help.
Thanks to Al again.
Amygdala does send it down at a healthly lick - all good

light drizzle pah, failing light hah, my bowling was very inconsistent. but good effort everyone.. you all certainly kept me on my toes, but must work on my footwork. playing on an all weather pitch does have its advances. Would love to know what speed Amygdala's deliveries were reaching, i will need to stop those behind the wicket, i am already wincing with that prospect, very worthwhile session though.
no worries skydancer, see you next week. just for the record, it has to be a torrential downpour at 11.00am with lightning, gusty conditions and really dark before Paddington Rec are willing to offer a refund.. it was refreshingly mild today with intermitting rain. I will negotiate for two nets for the remaining sessions. three nets was always very optomistic.
following yesterday's round trip to old trafford 1pm - 12am, i certainly needed something to hit, very hard.. i feel in somewhat better shape than last week which took two days for my creaking body to recover.
see you all next week.

okay we need a proper sledging session. suggest to join us at the nets with a few cans of red stripe so we can all loosen our tongues a bit...

The Athlete's Choice !
The No.1 Sports Bracelet in Cricket
This year, it seems that Trion:Z is the must-have piece sports accessory for cricketers. James Anderson, Stuart Broad and a whole host of the team were seen wearing the Trion:Z dual loop bracelets.
Manufactured by Japan’s leading manufacturer of medically certified devices, Arc Quest Co. Ltd, Trion:Z boasts Japanese medical approval, CE approval and with numerous industry renowned awards.

Trion:Z and Colantotte products are categorised as Alternative or Complimentary Health products and use magnetic ionic technology which is unique to their ranges only. The search for such non invasive therapies to help with stress, pain, fatigue, to promote sporting endurance, exercise and training recovery and to enhance general physical performance at any level is ever increasing in popularity. -

anyone seen wearing one at nets will be exiled..

I reckon those that I posted may be the power bangles re-packaged. They must have a wharehouse of them somewhere. I wonder if the people working there are extremely well balanced. Now it's got my thinking can overdose, could they suck all your ions out?

Somebody tried to sell me one of those at a running convention. Instead of immediately going all Ben Goldacre on her, I let her explain and try to empirically prove that it worked.
She got me to close my eyes and stand on one leg before pushing me. She then tried a second time when I had the bracelet on. I was actually unsteadier the second time! Fail.

nothing wrong with the placebo effect on mere mortals..
the livestrong wristbands certainly gave everyone that can-do attitude for a whileare we in danger of becoming fixated with the idea of empowering our lives with such
a cheap trick? last year bradley wiggins et al were wearing power bracelets with hollow-grams.. not that a podium place would be proof :)good marketing though the trion:Z or even kabbalah wrist thread is all about the users belief and wanting to belong to a now-look-at-me-brigade
lecture over, actually bored of this now.. me dig a hole for meditation til saturday
