  • kidboy can't you ride somewhere nearby and get the train?

  • Yeah or just get the bus to woolwich and then hope on the dlr. Considering i go back to kent to play most weekends a trip across london is no real problem.

  • Anway for the sake of a new page

  • we are all booked/paid in at padd rec... i will bring RH batting pads, 2 bats, 2 balls, 2 RH batting gloves

Great we've got our balls sorted Al, what about boxes so we've got our balls sorted Al?

  • ffs I'm busy sundays with the track and/or work. Never going to make this. Gutted.

  • I'm hoping that mid-weeks become an option once we get a good crowd and the nights get lighter, the season starts towards the end of april so a week day net would be ideal. And a few 20 20 bashes in the evening would be great, i reckon I could have a fixture if things work out.

  • we will see about mid week cricket practice, i organise touch rugby tuesday nights, regents park (9th year!).. good social run around for fitness and ball handling skills. usually starts after easter when nights are lighter. touch sevens tournament 16th july..

would be good to get a couple of 20-20 matches in though, mid week somewhere convenient for players.. ideally 6.30pm - 9.30pm.

RPM apologies, weekends are jammed this month with RvV looming :(

  • bargaineous

  • Sounds like the start of a plan! I'd happily put in another pound or 2 to play on grass though.

How many sets of pads are there for sunday, I still need to check my kit to see which bit's I have up here.

  • may have a pair of pads by then and a couple of balls
    (no box though)

  • Ithink i should have a pair of batting shorts, they can be worn over what your wearing so should be good for others to use.

  • i will bring 1 pair batting pads, 2 bats, 2 set of batting gloves (RH) 2 practice balls

everyone bring a box if you can..

  • im going to take a little trip to lillywhites to check what they hvae in the way of sale bits will, get a couple of Balls, happy to give them up fort he cause, do you want practice rubber ones or leather match ones ?? (depends on what they have )

  • either, just don't spend a fortune.. someone might bring some old leather cricket balls.. lilywhites you mean sportsworld on picadilly :(

  • Broke my heart when i went in there last year, used to have a massive selection of cricket gear (when it was lillywhite's proper), now it's crap, worse that your average high street sportworld (same shop as almac68 points out), i ended up going to the sportsworld on high holborn.

  • yep thats the one, i was just looking online they have some cheeepy bits in the sale £3 a ball two balls cheaper than 2 pints. so all good.

  • sad about lillywhite's, but shows how long a ago i went in there

  • Right after a quick search i have
3 practice balls (leather ok condition), 1 helmet, 1 practice bats (not sure how good the middle is but for the nets it'll do), 1 set rh batting gloves, 1 thigh pad, 1 box and a set of batting short (slip box in a pouch on outside) - happy to share as long as your not going comando!

I'll bring the lot on sunday.

  • I'll bring a full set of protection and a bat people can practice with, and an old ball. See you all on Sunday
