Max, don't worry about my two, if other people want them, I'm happy with the 3pmh heads at the moment. If you've made them specially for me I'll take them of course, but otherwise don't worry.

Max are you making up caps to fit the 3PMH heads? Thought I heard someone say that last night.

Either of us can make them to fit 3pmh, just need a head to test against.

Didn't I read somewhere about they have to be not pre-drilled though?

only if you have one end cap and want to account for the extra length at one end. What would be easier would be to cut of 5mm of the head, and have a 5mm cap, then the pre-drilled hole is in the right place.

3pmh heads are good for throw-ins IMO (thicker material), although the white oil stuff looks promising/long lasting.

As people have said just chop your caps thickness off one end.

you can easily take 7.5mm off the ends of a 3pmh

Nah, they won't, I asked that for Bill and Ed. They need it to be in the middle for their manufacturing process.

Edit, what they said was they couldn't do one without a hole, I didn't actually ask if it could be off-centre, I'll ask next time.

there looking into making caps for the mallet heads but i think this is max capped mallet head thread so no need to chat about it here. But just cut some length off the end max is gonna cap should do it. I can lend give a head to try max

If the lathe is working again, there's probably a market for caps for the 3pmh heads.
The pringle lids split fairly easily.
