maybe just maybe there is a correlation between the larger cyclist and those willing to shell out £75 for a jersey, and it isn't that representative of the forum as a whole...?
Rich people can afford to eat more and so require larger clothes.

The 'Larger' cyclists is perhaps older, they have more expendable income...
Although 'L' is the median point (not M), in which case it's still normalish

bigger jersey. same price.
MORE VALUE.

indeed. some of the well-off Ls were once skint XSs and some of today's skint XSs may grow up to be tomorrow's well-off Ls (we hope). some young skints just have big frames though.

Fair point.
Any Ss fancy going halves on an XL?

I would say it's due to the forum being full of men, most of who are size L. There are a few boys though, notably hoops, damo and ollie who probably account for the 3 xs currently up there on the vote...

Inside every fat man there is a thin man trying to get out
Probably the midget that hippy has just eaten whole.

Interestingly the results of the poll are shaping themselves into a form of Bell Curve that resembles a paunch.

Find some ladies towards the larger end of the scale and you'll get them. Ladies 38-44 with more needed at the higher end.

could you not put a couple of 'sponsor' logos on there for london bike shops in exchange for a couple of quid to bring the cost down and maybe a small discount for jersey wearers in said shops (50% or something like that should do it). doesn't have to be plastered with them just a few carefully placed logos or something.
I think you underestimate the costs, or overestimate how much bike shops would contribute. They would have to be contributing a good chunk over what they're likely to get back in terms of sales given that only 100 or so people will own the shirt and we'd need to knock off a huge chunk of the underlying cost to achieve it.
That, and I kinda like it logo free... it would ruin the effect of the design (I can say this, having seen the design).
Agreed. I'm not interested in owning yet another trade jersey.
I'll take one in cashmere.
Now we're talking!
no, i want it black and white with Rapha on it.
In cashmere?
Just another note... the price tag isn't final, it may be lower, it may be higher... it's just unlikely to be £50 as I have asked that we don't compromise finish for cost.
So the £75... that's pulled out of my arse... just guide price with no real clue as yet.
£75 is probably more than I am willing to pay - it will serve the same function as my club jerseys (nothing like someone shouting "Come on, Brixton" when you're grovelling up some interminable incline in the Alps), so I'm not sure I would be willing to pay more than £50 (which is what most club jerseys seem to cost), unless it was significantly nicer than yer average spandex thing. Some of us have to justify our cycling expenses to our saner & better halves.
£50 I can just about explain, more than that and my last remaining card will be cut up.
Probably the midget that hippy has just eaten whole.
Ha!

id go for it. probably medium but 75 quid is pretty steep.

I put a vote in for large based on my torm, rapha, and sizing. However, my Gore size is M.
Is there any way that you could give an idea of what the sizing would be? I'm still undecided as to whether I'd want to pay +£60 for a nylon top, but I am keen and probably would get one. However, I'd be pretty gutted if it didn't fit.

You must be very poor, then. ;)

75 notes is too much for me I'm afraid.
Plus, there's too many fat blokes wearing them. Why would I want to associate myself with fat, sweaty men in lycra? -
