You guys should do it. Dan_LJ is known outside Brum, so can probably form a team if necessary. Me and Hyper likewise.
It's likely I'll only be able to spectate. No chance of me taking the Saturday off work. May be able to leave a few hours early if they're playing Sat night. We'll see...

@Speedypete are you torny'ing?
x2 teams of 3...?shall I just register 2 teams?
-
• #32
Do it simps', register two teams. Are monies involved or is it pay on the door?
-
• #33
hey dudes, we'd prefer cash as this is how we pay for the rent. the important thing is making sure you're registered via email.
great to see two teams are involved from brum!
i know Dan asked about the format, we're going to work on the format as soon as we see how many teams we are expecting. sorry we can't be more specific. it'll all probably get sorted out shortly after the 14th. -
• #34
I'll say I'm out then. May still come to spectate/heckle on the Sunday. Have a good time and good luck to both teams. Are you going to go as Black Stabbath/Un-named?

**People of BHM Polo who are considering this event, PM me and add your names to the list by Saturday 5th February 9pm as i'm registering the teams on Sunday. Fact.
People of Cambridge Polo - planning on popping over on Sunday to play with you boys, can cough up the cash for everyone then. Plan? will still register via email Saturday night.

Nice to hear I'm a straggler
-
• #38
Not sure Danwentskiing would've used that term, don't take it personally mate
-
• #39
No worries, I know the score. Seeding is fair. Looks like there might be polo in Brum anyway that weekend with Glowbike from edinburgh coming down
-
• #40
Stu, don't take it personally, I can't afford to register a third team when there's only one person making it up - thus whether it happens or not is down to that person rallying up a team / joining stragglers. Equally I could have been the person left out of the two teams, that's how the Seeding works, I'd of been pretty miffed but equally found another team to join because I want to play.
I don't think seeding is fair, that's a topic for another thread.
If you sort out a team I can sort you out a lift /if/ you can get to my house (train and pedal) or get a polo taxi (hitch a lift with someone else driving or someone who's coming to mine to posse up)..personally thoguht 'team C' to have more potential for offense...

How can teams be chosen otherwise?
It might be flawed but I'm pretty sure it's the best way. -
• #42
I definitely can't make the tournament now. Too broke after an £86 excess baggage charge and binge-drinking in Karlsruhe.
Have fun and good luck to all the Brummies and non-Brummies from around Brum.

I would seriously love it and appreciate if someone could take photos and do a write-up of this tournament on birminghambikepolo.com
If they can take notes during the tournament, to make a better write-up, all the better, but no pressure. I did that with Greifmasters, so I should have a general post, then a write up of our games, then a write up of the final.
Volunteer?

I can't read or write..
I think Weed is going to be taking photos/video, I plan on having on board camera, if Matt takes footage too should make an excellent edit.
I will more than probably facebook happenings as they happen, so if you keep an eye there Danski, then stick them on the blog? 'live updates'
-
• #45
I was hopefully going to get some video footage done, dan, and I can take notes in the moleskine too. could I get set up on BBP.com to start writing anyhoo?
-
• #46
Yeah, of course.
I think you have to join wordpress then request to be added as an admin. My username is danwentskiing there too.
-
• #47
registered dan, how do i send a request?
-
• #48
I think search for m username, then send a request. Or maybe it's something to do with emailing me. Sorry to be vague, but when I started the blog Pastrylover was helping with this kind of stuff. Now he's probably doing 3 hour turbo sessions.

Can Black Stabbeth and B team for this tournament pm me with your preferred email address for me to forward tourny rules, details etc onto, ta.
-
• #50
Just saw the draw for you guys. Stabbath could win three games - livid I can't be there for the Asbo showdown though... B-team have a few chances, although Newcastle and the French/Cambridge hybrid are an unknown quantity to me.
There's no toilet at the court... other than that sleeping there is more than probably but not def', fine.
So we have a team? shall we register? excited
