I had a look and my fork has side-mount whereas this is "Caliper Mount Type: Hydraulic Disc Brake - Post Mount" so I presume I'll also have to buy an adapter of some sort?
-
• #4378
I’ve got an IS to Post mount knocking about if it’s easier than buying?
-
• #4379
Yeah, IS mount is what it is I guess. Thanks though it's probably easier if I throw it in to the brake order unless you plan on appearing at Wests tomorrow.

Sadly not. But if you change your mind and wanna save a couple quid, it’ll be there still

Spanks!

Got the tools and bleed kit if you need to shorten the hose!
-
• #4383
Probably do need to but I'll likely zip tie the excess for starters. What could possibly go wrong?
Does it differ from Shimano road bleed kit? Sure I already have one of those.
-
• #4384
Should be the same yeah.
-
• #4385
And just realised that prices have gone up a fair bit for Shimano stuff.
Used to be able to get M615 for about 30 quid ish but it's replacement M6000 is even more expensive than the SLX M7000!
-
• #4386
I wrote down £120 for a set of M7000 a while back. Prices for it seem similar. Guess it depends when you last looked. Brexit has fucked us for everything produced outside this tiny little racist island that produces nothing.
-
• #4387
that produces nothing.
Errrm...

Decathlon own brand brake pads are worth a look too and dirt cheap

I have no idea. Whatever size fits the M7000 calipers?
-
• #4398
Would I be correct in thinking/hoping that these are essentially identical..?

(Uberbike sent me the former, but my receipt confirms the latter)

Hylex hoods and levers are big aren't they?
May have to use a 100 mm stem.... -
• #4400
They're really not. Come and try mine if you want to check them out before deciding on stem length. FWIW, I've used the same length stem on the Hylex bike as I would with other levers.
Yep
