Breaking Bad. The first series is probably the best TV I have ever watched. Plus it got the dad from Malcolm in the middle. With a gun. And a goatee. And crack. What more could you want?

Second series of 'Breaking Bad' just started again on Five US, first episode was last week. I missed it last year when they showed it. You can catch it on 'Demand five' if you haven't seen it.

I was gong to start watching 'Sons of Anarchy' on five us until I realised it was the second series that was starting.

Didn't Rita from Dexter suddenly get a load of fillers in her face between one of the series'.

Homicide: life on the street's supposed to be as good as The Wire.
It's by the same writer(s). Box set's £45.

The missus watched all of The Wire, I couldn't be bothered embarking on that marathon, but it kept her occupied for a while.

That would be Julie Benz, who played Darla in both Buffy and Angel.

I have to disagree there. I have seen the first 12 episodes and although I haven't properly made my mind up yet, It is growing on me and it does have a few things in its favour.

1) It isnt from NBC
2) Its got a good cast
3) Its well written

I was mildly peeved the first time I saw the ending but I just watched it again, having read the explanation and it was pure revelation.

Workmate got the Family Guy boxed set today for ~£50. 7 or so discs. Want.

Popped into HMV on Oxford Street with my girlfriend today to spend a christmas voucher, wanted to get Twin Peaks. They were charging £60 for just the first season! Thumbs down.

I got the complete Mr Men boxset (of 50 books) for £30 yesterday, down from over £100.
I know it's not DVD (have that as well) but Win!

As for box sets maybe mentioned earlier but Curb Your Enthusiasm is my winner.

Nothing beats Twin Peaks.

I agree for the first series (of nine or so episodes), but the latter half of the sprawling second series (twenty three or thereabouts) is fucking terrible.

I love it for its imperfections and all, the ending is less than perfect, but then there was never even meant to be a second series, so I wont complain.

Its the one TV program that I will never, ever get bored of watching, it takes on new depths everytime you watch it.

And yes I am a total David Lynch fanboy.

prison break season ! is good, but after... WTF the were thinking, epic fail
and 24???? they try to make you belive that things happen in real time, and during 3 chapter they are doing the same shit, fail from the beginnning

Next in the list are Dexter, nbecause eveybody has spoken in here so well about iy and Mad Men, that also has very good review everywhere

Its a prequel mini series thingy and not season 2 proper. (Talentless horse-faced Jaime Murray is in it)

The sad thing is Andy Whitfield only does a brief stint in it and has been replaced for season 2 proper.
