  • I wish he would shut up the arrogant twat

*Cancellara saved his honour as supreme favourite by finishing second. "Everybody raced against me. The victory was not possible. This second place is like the victory to me. Today, I lost, but the others lost a bit more than me," he concluded foolishly.*

except van summeren. and kind of thor/the rest of his team

  • "Today I chose not to puke on myself. I let the others puke on me. They puked as a team, and I'm covered in puke, but I wouldn't be a winner if I'd puked on myself in that way. When I get ready to puke on myself, the others know it will be projectile. And so I remain the only winner."

  • Van Summeran preposed to his girlfriend after the race. Ahhh !

Great race yesterday by Garmin, not so good for Leopard Trek

  • You have to admit it was one of the best races for a long time though
    all the hype,
    all the Quick step disasters,
    all the other disasters,
the mincing about by the favourites while the journeymen got stuck in,
    the weather,
    the scenery,
and the fact that it was on live from when I got back from a ride, (much to Mrs Adroit's disgust).

  • Lars Boom. Discuss.

  • Err, he's quite a 'punchy' rider...

  • i was in flanders/roubaix all week (taking in the Scheldeprijs midweek) and was hoping for anything other than a Spartacus lone breakaway in both races.
was rewarded with 3 great finishes/results that went to the wire. respect to Thor for working for his team.

    some pics here http://gallery.me.com/garysmithphoto#100048&bgcolor=black&view=grid
(none of roubaix race day only recce day, i was having a day off)

Cavendish's win was the icing on the cake.

has anyone seen any pics of the sky rider without the saddle? came past on mons en pevele after the peleton looking thoroughly pissed off! lot of riders were miles behind with a world of pain etched on their faces, evidently the broom wagon is further behind than other races and the riders really want their lap of the velodrome for their efforts so will grovel in the mud/dust rather than DNF.

  • Arvesen snapped his saddle rails heres a vid, edit fuck me!!

I do hope he was penalised for riding a bike below UCI weight limits...

  • he must of been riding it like that for a fair while as that section of pave is quite long.

  • Johan took his cobble down to the pub at home and got pissed last night

  • Campy 11 speed front mech; when you absolutely positively want to change bikes in the middle of Arenberg.

How the hell did he get the chain out of the derailleur cage and jam it between the chainrings??

Brilliant. Reminds me of Liverpool's Phil Thompson taking the European cup to his local in Kirkby.

and later one of his bottles shook loose and got caught between his back wheel and the frame. Don't think his mechanic will be getting a card this Xmas.

  • I've no time for him, but he's right to say that there should be equal treatment for all offenders

Good vis, but the closeups of bikes are obviously not in-race footage.

Love the bingo wings wobbling though.

You're laughing, Will, but the sad truth is that some mercenary fucker will be willing to give him a place in a continental team, and if they can't prove he gave himself a transfusion, even though he admitted it, then the horrid little shit will be back in the peloton.

  • I seriously doubt whether any sponsor would be willing to associate themselves with Ricco after all that has happened. He is scum and should be kicked out. I thought he said hes going to become a barista or something?

  • I suppose Rock Racing might get going again to give him a berth.
I doubt he will find a team, any team, not just because he is a liar and a cheat but because he is clearly psychologically unstable. And any team with ambitions to move up the ladder and ever become a pro-continental or World Tour team know full well that they will never be forgiven by the UCI if they hire him.

  • “The sun has begun to shine again for Riccardo and today is a good day for cycling. At the moment there isn’t a sanction that can stop him being a professional again.”

Wow. Such a good day for cycling when a rule doesn't exist to exclude a proven, unrepentant, serial cheat and doper from the peloton.

Ace. Bet the Maipei center are thrilled too after all the hard work they put into trying to educate the stupid fuck.

He's a professional cyclist, not a mass murderer. Get a sense of perspective.

He's yet to be charged with a doping offence, hence should be presumed innocent until he's convicted.

I don't see similar levels of ire aimed at Contador, who has escaped a doping ban due to political pressure placed upon his national federation.
