This is true. They kick out a decent beam for my commute.

my USB charger for them has broken, so I have to use the battery one, which takes about 30 years to charge. I've also got a rear one which has completely died.
They do give out a nice amount of light, but I've got a set of small knogs, large knogs and blackburn voyagers as well.

indeed - you get a good 4 hours out of a single charge, which is pretty solid.

I'm glad it's not just me with a dislike of cateyes. Some lad in Evans* tried to sell me cateye lights and when I told him that the casing/fixing on all the cateyes I had owned (admittedly not many) had broken, and the same had happened to other people he looked at me in utter disbelief and apologised profusely, as if he was mr cateye!

*I had gift vouchers to spend - that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it
