Cheers for the ride John. It was an interesting ride. I had to dash off to go to a friends birthday drinks (but spend the whole time standing so I didn't get the chairs wet), shower, film and bed now :) another good forum ride.
p.s Hi Little white bike, spoke to you at the start and towards the end. Hope you enjoyed the day.

It wasn't that bas, was it?
No but I got over excited this morning at the endless sunshine & I had nothing rainproof on me, got soaked :P
damn the deceiving spring-summer-conversion weather! Is it even spring? argh!

Can I just ask what the pace of forum rides such as this is? Tourist pootle or do you open up the taps? I'd have been there today but for ridiculous workload. Glad you all had a good day!

This was a very slow ride, which was great while it was sunny, not so much when it was raining. However it was necessary to keep the group together.

Finally home, tired but satisfied

was it just me or did we lose a whole load of people after the ferry?
Yeah, there were a few incidents from a ruined chin (upstart) to quite a few punctures which spread the group out. My flatmate's fingers were about to fall off so he bailed just before the O2 and took the foot tunnel to get back north. I did the same after going around the O2 - cold and wet and I'd used my spare tube. Didn't fancy tempting fate.
Good ride, the random sand made it interesting!
Best bit, and to think I only cleaned the bike yesterday!
Great day - thanks a lot to MA3K and also to the guys who stayed to make sure us tail enders didn't get lost. Had a bit of a stack myself - won't be shaving until the chin mends...
Good to see you weren't put off by a little scratch! I heard you guys going through the sand - sounded like you were having 'fun'.
PMd. Thanks |³|MA3K great ride. Lots of new places for me
Hope you either got to where you were going or caught up with the group after me and chris bailed at the foot tunnel.
We rode through it and got a nice friendly ticking off from the lift guy. Finally got to have my fry-up breakfast at about half 4.

There was quite a few punctures towards the end.
I laughed so hard at josh falling off that I think I got a hernia. -

really didn't enjoy the riding, too slow, tired, wet, cold, not getting paid for it, but good to see peeps, my ass hurts...
-
• #424
then maybe you should be a bit more selective about the rides you do. Obvs this was gonna be a slow one.

My solution to ride being too slow was take my time drinking beer on every stop and then catching up.
