Army surplus is a no no for me after being told that I looked like a cross between Woody Allen and John Rambo by a doorman many years ago (whilst wearing a M65)..

• #5804
And what was he wearing? DM’s and badly fitted shiny black suit?
-
• #5805
But... ummm...how do I ask this? Do you actually look like Woody Allen though?

Any suggestions for leather lace-up boots with a chunky sole that are out the box comfy, breathe well and are grippy? I had some Fracaps that ticked the first two boxes but i wasn't in love with the looks and found them sketchy in the wet. I have some Blundstone Lug boots that tick the second two boxes very well but are not lace ups and are weirdly uncomfortable when i sit down!

I’ve always wanted a trench coat. The Burberry one looks pretty good but I’m tall with gangly arms and they look a bit boxy

I didn't know you could get such a large phone in 2003.

First baggy trousers I’ve bought since about 2003. Painfully accurate tbh.

I've spent the summer in baggy shorts. Gonna be hard to go back to regular fitting jeans

Huh, don't think it was (site I'm remembering was slightly less overwhelming with choice than this one!) - but it looks like a good place to start trying to work out what sort of hat guy I might become....

Its much harder t0 pull off than anticipated considering 3/4 of my wardrobe is EG/Needles and I thought it'd just fit right in 😭
-
• #5821
You bought it then?
-
• #5822
I did. Its too hot today to try it on with layers and stuff to figure out what to do with it. I have to keep it because it was final sale, so I'll figure it out. Its nice but it ain't $700 after tax nice lol. Very glad I had 60ish% off.

Since being on parental leave I’ve lived in joggers. I’d never worn pair. I can’t go back but I can’t be wearing joggers at every occasion. What are some trousers to transition me into that non elastic life. I’ve seen service works chefs trousers that look alright. Anything else at a similar price?

Can we talk super slim fit shirts. For those of us with narrow narrow waists and long arms. Finding a shirt slim enough seems to be a pair. Also quite tall so they need to be super slim and longer than normal.
Cheers for this tip.
