I would never do the bottom button of a waistcoat up.

Unless I am on a city break in a Northern German city in winter, i always manage to look like a tourist as hard as I try not too.

I'd add Madras (long-sleeved) to the mix for holidays in warmer climes.

Were you in Ostuni a couple of weeks ago?

Feck now I want one.
Collars and short sleeves, what has become of me?! -

I bought 3 of the same shirt in different colours from Freak's store in Tokyo a couple years ago. Love it. Though having searched guayabera I see a very similar one on John Lewis :/

Shirt and shorts is great.
I often wear shorts (baggier type) and an open long sleeve over t shirt. Or when it's real hot a short sleeve shirt. Nothing beats buttons in the front when it's hot. -

The guayabera is so underrated, I’ve got a couple with the standard shirt collar I wear for work on weeks like this.

Do they all have that sheer look to them? Is that's why the stripes are carefully located in line with the nipples?

Thank god it's nearly autumn.. sheer shirts and fucking straw hats.. the horror..

Any suggestions for something similar to this (Folk - Gabe) that's in stock in a small and isn't £130? If it's linen, even better.

Good call! I've ordered one to try. I think I prefer the creamy colour and the slightly darker buttons of the Folk one though so will keep searching. Definitely a similar shape though.

I like a linen shirt but either have to tuck them in or leave them unbuttoned because they look horrific from the front if you've sat down for five minutes.

I’ve got two folk shirts from TKMaxx in the last few months for about £30 each - might be worth a look?

Good call! It's for the wedding I mentioned earlier in the thread which has quite a specific requirement for the shirt though. The brief is "linen shirt" but I don't think the groom means that, he means short sleeve, collared but casual shirt. Not sure how good my chances of finding something specific in my size are in a TKMaxx?
Probably worth a look for some shirts for work anyway. -

Weddings with specific dress codes can get in the fucking sea.
