Looking for a light summer jacket or cpo shirt with side pockets. Something I can use for keys, wallet and phone. Already have a denim cpo shirt but want something that isn’t blue or denim to avoid double denim.

Was thinking possibly a type 3 trucker jacket or cpo in khaki, olive or cotton duck. Any suggestions?

Some of the unfriendliest shop people I’ve ever met, yet their stuff is nicely made with good quality materials.
Luckily I was forewarned and so toned down the enthusiasm and kept to facts and no questions that might be deemed frivolous.

Yes, majorly unfriendly in their shop in Holt on entry. Warmed up abit after some chit chat. It’s niche but as you say well made.

Nice I love wearing high rise trousers these days. Recently discovered Bronson on aliexpress and eBay via the the fedora lounge. Chinese repro stuff, amazing quality for the money.

Any recommendation for summer hats (styles/vendors) great appreciated. I hate caps but have less hair than I used to and the need for hat coverage is becoming pressing...

I have a Le Labourer jacket in black that I wear a lot. Nice and light for summer, seems well made and comes in a fair few colours as far as I can tell.

Never found the old-town staff to be rude at all personally. Even when I've dragged my bored off his face brother in law in there they were very friendly and engaged us all.

Bretagne Boutique has a nice selection, also Ideal Cap Co if you can stand baseball styles - these are reproductions, really good ones going all the way back to the 1890s.
