My spoke trousers turned up. I did their fitting thing and I'm pleasantly surprised to see they've got it bang on, they fit really well.

Did you choose the ‘bulletproof’ model (seem to have a few cycling features) or something else?
-
• #3404
Yeah I got those ones. I like the idea of some water resistance.

So here’s an interesting business model my wife recently subscribed to.... On Loan
Pay £70 pcm, receive two garments (~£500 value), wear for a month, return and choose new stuff. If something doesn’t fit or is out of stock you can swap ASAP. Initially I thought this sounded like a bum deal but it means you can try stuff that’s a bit more occasional, expensive or seasonal without adding to landfill. There’s even the possibility to buy an item if you really like it.
This year we’ve taken a long hard look at our spending habits and wardrobe space and had a huge cull, I literally put two thirds of my stuff in the loft to see if I’d miss it... not yet.

Sounds interesting - I have so many clothes, loads of which I never/very rarely wear but I hate listing stuff on ebay. I've been trying to buy fewer clothes this year, so far this is going ok but I still have a problem.

Yeah, my wife also subbed to something similar. Rent the Runway. It’s absolutely massive in New York. Was kinda jelly tbh. Some nice stuff and a good way to try stuff that you might not otherwise. We’ve both been buying way less clothes than we have previously though so she cancelled it.

Thoughts on stocks‘n’ socks?
Comfy ..and I think it works -
• #3409
Don't count on a lot of support for that combo here, and you shouldn't care either.
-
• #3410
You crazy? It 100% works. Just look at them!
Socks and birks all day every day.

Can’t tell if serious...
Either way, I don’t wear ANY shoes without socks, not a fan of foot stew or flesh rubbed raw. -
• #3412
Serious as a heart attack. I almost exclusively wear my not-technically-Birkenstock Yuketen Arizonia’s with socks.
-
• #3413
Yeah I wear socks with my birks too
-
• #3414
Me too, but strictly suede bostons

Hey good people. I've got an LFGSS exclusive offer. We recently made a Limited Edition batch of Ink Blue Railway Jackets. Made in London using 15oz heavyweight canvas linen.
The reception has been really good and we've sold out of some sizes already. But we still have some in the smaller sizes. Given this is a cycling forum, I thought there might be some slimmer than average folk with discerning taste. Anyways, I've made a discount code that gets you 12.5% off. Average punters get a measly 10% on email sign up. I don't even need your email for this offer :)

Let me know if you have any questions. Here is a shot that gives you a better idea of the fabric.

Shoes like pottery?

no, they're a big designer. I thought Lanvin but I'm wrong. it's right on the tip of my tongue as I used to hate them, but now I really want a pair and can't for the life of me remember what they are

• #3421
Bah. Came here to post that
-
• #3422
Not quite but maybe google for deck shoes?

Where sells decent plain white t shirts? Most seem to be slightly see through which I want to avoid.
-
• #3424
I just sent this list to my wife. It was in response to her search for decent singlets, but I believe they all make tees as well.

Always impressed with Tricoteurs, so resilient and smart.
I enjoy my Redbacks, I believe they were cheaper than B’stones at the time despite where they were made.
