  • Thanks, they claimed about the same but it just kept getting smaller until the sleeve placket separated from itself. Oh well.

  • Thanks mate - appreciate it. If you’re average height, a Medium will do you. If you’re over 6’, you’re a Medium Long. That’s in the long sleeve

  • Wow - Sleeve placket separating isn’t ideal. All I can say is that I’m wearing one of our original samples today - an ecru long sleeve that’s been in the wash c.15-20 times - and it’s better than ever. Structurally sound and hasn’t shrunk since the initial wash.

There are a few people of this parish who might be able to vouch for that...

  • I’m out and about so please excuse for me the terrible selfie but here it is. This is a Medium Long and I’m 6’2 with a 39 inch chest.

  • We've got a week long pop up in Mare Street Market, Hackney if anyone wants to see the shirts in person. Open from 10-8 every day...

  • very happy with my short sleeved on, was perfect for my holiday!

  • Very glad to hear it mate. The short sleeve smock has been a hit. Especially after people have seen it on someone else. I guess people are wary of short sleeve shirts generally but the reception has been really good :)

  • Anyone want a Norse Projects Roof Print 5 Panel? Brand new in packaging - £20 cost £35

  • Ages ago I signed up to Zozo https://zozo.com/gb/en/info/suit They send you a suit marked with loads of dots and the app, in theory, measures you and then clothes are made for your size.

First time I tried it the measurements were pretty out of whack, one leg a few inches longer than the other for starters and odd arms. Second time round looked a bit more realistic.

As I signed up to the preview I'm meant to be getting a free t-shirt and jeans. Will see how they look when they turn up, I'm not holding out great hopes.

  • Saw that when it launched. Liked the idea but can't say I'm overly impressed with the fits...

  • It's not really jeans and sheux territory, but not far off

  • Are these guys legit?

I've never seen Talaricos that cheap anywhere.

  • Maybe answered my own question, T. makes a lower end model that uses two piece instead of solid stick, not nearly as nice from what I've read.

  • A few members on here have taken advantage of LFGSS discounts already and I think they're enjoying their Flax London shirts. So, I thought I'd let you guys know I've made another code if you fancy buying a shirt/getting one as a present. You just need to use this code at check out:

    LFGSS-FL

The headlines for those who haven't read my previous posts on Flax London. We make linen shirts that are designed to be worn all year round. They're 100% Irish linen and made in London. We use a thicker linen than you'd typically see in linen shirts - it's more opaque, full of texture, and hangs a little straighter. Can't attach pics annoyingly but we have a standard shirt, grandpa collar shirt, and long sleeve smock. You can see them all here.

  • What is the sweep of your small and medium shirts please?
Actually, I don't see any measurements on your site.

  • Ages ago I signed up to Zozo https://zozo.com/gb/en/info/suit They send you a suit marked with loads of dots and the app, in theory, measures you and then clothes are made for your size.

Free t-shirt and jeans turned up. Could see what they were trying to do but neither really fitted. T-shirt fitted really well around chest/shoulders but was too short, the jeans just seemed to be weird fitting with a really baggy crotch/arse.

Strangely they haven't asked for any feedback on the fit which I would have thought was why they were giving away free stuff.

  • The sweep of the small is 21 inches/53.5cm and the medium is 22 inches/56cm. It's worth bearing in mind that linen shrinks 3-4% in its first wash. They are designed to be relaxed, straight fit shirts.

We had measurements on the website but took them down because there was some confusion about how measurements are taken for men's casual clothing. We're in the middle of building a size chart with accompanying illustrations to show how we take each measurement.

  • Anyone have any experience of Timothy Everest trousers? I'm potentially lining up a pair of these:

  • Think I figured out how to attach images without the colours washing out. This will be my last post on the topic. If you do fancy one, don't forget the 10% LFGSS code: LFGSS-FL

  • And another from me - any chance of a raglan sleeve?

  • Not right now, I'm afraid. We have no immediate plans for a raglan sleeve shirt but are big fans of them.

Next up is a hefty linen Chore Jacket which is in the final stages of development right now. We gave 25% off the Chore Jacket to the first five of our Founder Members to buy a shirt for Christmas and I'm happy to offer the same thing here. This is what it looks like right now (a few adjustments still to be made to collar).

  • Ah fuck I knew I should have bought into that

  • That last button seems quite low.

Looks nice though - any other colours.

Don’t have linen Timothy Everest trousers but have some chinos and wool trousers - nice fit and excellent quality
