The only hat worth getting is a Lock & Co http://www.lockhatters.co.uk/
Their Panamas are really something else.

^^ ^
Thanks. One of the jackets mentioned something like unstructured. But I wasn't sure if it was marketing guff to hide lower production costs. -

As long as you don't wear your hat indoors, it's cool.
-
• #2580
Then it becomes a *tw*hat.
-
• #2581
I have 2 hats from Locks, they're both the fucking business.
Having an actual guardsman open the door for you is also a nice touch.. -

£895 for a hat. I must be doing it wrong.
-

Words cannot explain how much I love wearing this hat..

And this, for formal/mob occasions.

Went in to Lock a while ago to get a new flat cap. Didn't rate their own brand tbh, more to do with style though. Whilst trying it on I stood next to some wigger chap who tried on Derby hats with his new era cap laid on the table next to him. Quite a sight.

How easy is it for a tailor to take suit trousers in well? (ie so they look like they were made that way)
Say from a 38" to a 33/34"?
Also if the edge of jacket (where the buttons are) is frayed, is it possible to have a small amount of material removed to tidy the edge up?
Cheers.

• #2591
hm, might turn out a little...

wood green. But don't worry, I got the only one.
FYI it's still out there...
Just got £1100 worth of Carhartt x Adam Kimmel for £140. TK Maxx St Albans. (#provinces)

• #2593
^^ yeah.
Having a read around I it sounds like 1-2" is all you can really do without the shape being effected.
-
• #2594
Bought one of these but it's a too big which is annoying. Good quality.
Dunderdon Lightweight Parka, £45 delivered. New. XL
Not my pic but the same thing.

No Carhartt bonanza in TK Maxx Green Lanes, however they did have this rather nice Wolsey’s Exeter jacket:
But after a quick bit of googling I found wolsey selling it off for a tenner cheaper on their site.

'Tasteful' 70s disco themed party.
I'm thinking of trying to copy Moroder's look since I'm a bit of a fan.
Unfortunately I have no idea where to locate this stuff other than scouring op shops. Any clues on what the jacket is? The watch? The glasses? I can't find a Musicland Studios t-shirt either but that could be made.
Or could scrap that as too difficult and dress like a Bee Gee with bell bottoms and wide lapel brown shirts. Their hair length might be tricky to get to by December.

• #2597
Might be easier to copy her look instead.
-
• #2598
^^ ebay would be my first port of call.
-
• #2599
Beyond retro if you don't mind paying.
eBay might be a little too late?

"Unstructured" is a thing though, along with natural shoulders.
