Sticking it to the big boys! Hope he goes on to tackle the thorny issue of A-players whose dick-move ratio is far higher than normal people.

Neil - you're goalie

its called quarterback Matt.

Neil's skill is taking the weaknesses of both positions and combining them into one - a goalie who sits 5 metres in front of the goal and can't really pass...

dan, slinging the ball to the diagonally opposite corner whenever you've got it isn't exactly visionary. especially when its actually another failed wild shot...

I was hoping the new rules were going to outlaw 80% shots. Goals shouldn't count unless the shooter can prove they swung as hard as possible. Nearly falling off on the follow-through and snapped goalkeeper spokes/wheelcovers are adequate proof.

Bonus points for hitting your hand against your own bars or forks on the follow through, or are we incentivising grandstandy open-body shots?

I was hoping each pass made before shooting would take 10% of the goal scored, so a Dodi boredom goal would be 1 point, but a Wrists/Arsenal pass-fest would only score -20% of a goal.

There should be a story on new sports to try featuring polo in the Birmingham Mail tomorrow. You heard it here first.

Got this through yesterday. Had a chat with her on the phone and it seems like an interesting project. I'm going to put it up on the main London forum as well.
Dear Birmingham Bike Polo
I am a documentaries producer at BBC Radio and am thinking about making a programme about a group of people connected through bike polo. It is for a series called Lives in a Landscape which has the broad remit of looking at interesting and good talking people with stories around the country. If you are interested just to chat through the idea to see if you think it might work, do get in touch.
All the best

One more?
Yeah, and about eight people stationed around the court to determine what constitutes a 'fair' check (angle of attack, elbows in/out, position of contact, distance from boards, steering arm/not-steering-arm...).
It was so much easier in 2009/10 when checking hadn't made it to the UK yet.
Don't mind the ball jointing rule though.
