I was going to ask about those. Can you get the guys who are making them to do pilot holes? In three places for maximum rotatability?
I always fuck up the drilling part and have wobbly or off-centre mallets...

BOOM! £10 Birmingham players only.
(I've also got a couple of prototype heads that little bit heavier for 5 pounds each.)I was going to ask about those. Can you get the guys who are making them to do pilot holes? In three places for maximum rotatability?

I can drill pilot holes for whomever want them.

One lightweight and one prototype for me please - 4 x pilot holes in each (for two shaft positions) if you've got a pillar drill or are very confident you'll get it straight. If not I'll ask Lucas.
Thanks!

As it's a small run, they've done these manually rather than CAD-CAM. So if you have a print out that would be best.
You've got 3 heads of various material (hdpe, pvc and something else) and a full rod of 600 dia. of uhwmpe as it didn't work with the design I gave them. The machinist is moving so it might take a little bit of time before he's ready to go again.

On a serious note. How many have you got in this batch? what material are they? how much do they weigh? I need a new mallet so can I take one lightweight one please, and a shaft off you Lucas please?

EMM - N3il has a shaft for you.
N3il - how many do you have? I think mallatesta needs one too.

I'm not sure how many I have - they're sitting in the back of my car.
If anyone needs one, let me know and I can bring it down to polo on Sunday, or you're welcome to collect from my house in the evenings.

Guys, posted already about Xmas party, could you please le me know what you think?!
"So, I think/guess 2 options left:
the 7th(Saturday) or 20th (Friday) of December. Actually I asked my housemates about keeping it at ours and they don't mind till we don't start to play Polo in the kitchen ;-)
If Kat you really don`t mind and would invite the polo people to your party anyway, we could call it (in parentheses:-) Polo Xmas party?! ;-) "

I can't make the 7th, but I can do the 20th and I'll also be at Kat's on the 21st.

I'm glad all my work Xmas parties are going to be during the week.
who's going to london for the xmas bench?
-
• #3220
I can make any of those dates Viki.
Everyone is welcome at mine but I feel I should give you a heads up. Traditionally it begins as a fairly civilised affair (mulled wine, twiglets, after eights hot apple cider with rum) and then descends into something less civilised (usually into any alcohol that is in my house getting drunk with orange squash/ water as a mixer). So arrive at whatever time you think suits the festive experience you want!

Twiglets are not civilised. They're satanic and I'm a bit offended you'd serve them so close to baby Jesus' birthday.

Mallet heads are drilled. Will bring tomorrow. Also, will bring fixings for those that got shafts from me.
-
• #3224
Mallet heads look great - thanks to the Bike Foundry lot for sorting them out and Lucas for drilling.
