Whatmore! Dennis! Fashanu!
Nice vid (excellent camerawork). Really nice angle up there. You have to zoom in a lot to get to the opposite goal, but you can see the whole game. Team shirts would've made that look awesome.

Neither my wife nor kid were very impressed with my brilliant solution to the pedal threads being stripped out of the crank.
Can anyone weld the pedals back in or know a place I can take the bike? I will bring on Sunday.

If its a one piece crank you can pick bmx ones up for pennies on ebay.
-
• #2234
Unfortunatley is not. Multiple pieces and very short crank arms.

Looks like Stu's bike.

I resemble that remark...

You can drill the hole out slightly larger and tap some new threads to fit a sleeve with the original pedals threads on the inside. We have the sleeves at the Bike Foundry and the engineers round the corner have the taps and would do the work, probably for under £20. Seems like a lot of work though!

As most of the longer rides crew are polo people, thought I'd mention this here too...

Who is able to do a polo demonstration this saturday? It's paid, so we can raise some money for the BHBPA/UKI Champs.

That could be good. Still think I may go withy the welding though.

I would not like to weld a pedal on to a crank arm, the heat would boil the grease in the bearing races and eventually said pedal would commit suicide. Malletesta's solution is dead neat.

I know nothing about welding, but that sounds very logical. I've heard shit gets somewhat glowing during the welding process. I think a new bike is the cheapest/easiest solution. Enviroment be damned, just buy another off eBay.

Yep, the shit does get a tad glowing..... ;) Sometimes it not as simple as 'bollocking' it up with weld...but thats a long winded conversation and very boring...Mr Mallets solution is the best...
