  • Does it feel any different to ride?

  • Don't know yet, haven't built it up

  • Final coat

             Finished

  • No chain fail.

Seattube cluster/wheelcover paint colour match ftw.

  • good job stu.. you planning to re-spray the whole frame?

  • ha! definitely not. it was hard enough avoiding a 'run-fest' just on this small area! paint's overpriced too...

  • Its been really windy, if any for sale signs have been blown into peoples clutches i'd love a couple of bits for 700c sized wheel covers.

  • I have two massive sheets in my shed, will bring along on Sunday. Text me to remind me though

  • Also, 700c? New polo bike?

  • I'm contemplating turning the kona back into a mountain bike. Can I come and get the plastic before sunday? i want to have as much ready as possible by then.

  • Also - i still have two cans of your lager here.

  • Hopefully I'll be back Saturday. I'll let you know

  • Pompina is on the way! woop woop.

  • AWESOME polo frame or general hoppity urban hack

  • ((!! Big crimps alert !!))

  • Beat me to it!

  • they're actually quite shallow though, not like mine and dan's fail zones

  • So after a bit of discussion about polo teams at the food ride tonight, maybe we should have a Saturday afternoon team game session occasionally to prepare ourselves for tournaments. Just, say, an hour and a half of set teams, loser-stays-on format. I'd be happy playing as Lunch Club, but not sure how the other 2 feel about that...

It seems the league will never happen because even though we had an influx of new people, there are too many 'flouncers' to make it work.
    #just saying

  • A lot of people work Saturdays though! Well, me, Dan, Fin...

  • All day? That's why i said afternoon

Agreed. We pushed too far for maximum participation. Our reach extended our grasp, and now it's too late. We could do a four-team league on the same principles, though, maybe play each other twice to stretch it out a bit?

    Yep

Yep. Also, having team games on a Saturday is surely going to split the weekend turnout.

  • All day?

I love the shocked expression, we can tell you don't work.

I think it would be easy just to play some team games at regular practices, but the important bit is making the teams.

    Let us discuss...

  • First thing is do we want to do the same as last year (ABC) in order to drive up our general ability, or have a strong(ish) team with a chance of getting further in tournaments? We could feasibly do both (everyone plays on a 'local' and 'tournament' team...)

  • yeah we spoke a bit earlier about maybe having the generally agreed top three (you, fin, andy) then making two more reasonable teams out of the rest of us.

Or we could all sit around and discuss it over some beer?
