buy decent ones?
my grenson desert boots are well over 6 years old, the sole (crepe) is in better condition than the shoe, (which would clean up)thats good to know as I destroyed a pair of Church's desert boots in ONE summer

Anyone know where I can get Clark's desert boots resoled? No cunt will do it it seems and Clark's can't even tell me where to go. Just replacement crepe or perhaps a Vibram something-or-other (not an off-white orthopedic effort though).
Oh yeah! I've seen it done before, but this is from the US..
I went last year to try and ask to do something very similar
with some used boots I'd gotten off ebay. Somehow I was
a little put off, since fitting Vibram (cristy) soles was about £45.
(and the boots had cost me nothing, didn't think they were worth it).
Look ace though.

Did I imagine reading something about Dr martens staff buying back lasts and setting up their own brand?

I've only heard good things about Solovair boots.
I wonder how hard it would be to make a pair of shoes... Project, methinks.

On a resoling vibe, what are the chances of me getting my Opening Ceremony resoled, waste of time?
-
• #3018
Don't quote me on it, but I think they can re-sole glued shoes, by just re-glueing them
maybe they could be rescued with a thin sole put on the old one?
-
• #3019
Potentially, I had a feeling they may be glued on. Not ideal really...
-
• #3020
Def looks glued. But if there not too battered, you should be able to just get a new thin sole on there

No. Vans are vulcanised. DBs are stitched.
