the modern day british equivalent should be a pocket for ones oyster card
Oyster loafers? Oyster chelsea boots maybe. I love the idea. Bit of a pain to swipe though....
-
• #2155
Easier to tap in and out though. Swiping is so 90's...

Mine are Ds, which i believe is 'normal' width. Fit perfect.
i wish I could wear them everyday, but the whiteness just wouldn't work. -

with penny or without?
American penny, left shoe only, no beef roll
This is the only acceptable option

Personally I dislike the way it ruins the line of the shoe - like outriggers on a canoe. They also look messy and, from a practical standpoint, get caught on abso-fucking-lutely everything. Like a hangnail. To each is own and all that. -

Time to get another rubber sole thing on my leather-soled boots. Does anyone know if I can get something with a bit of thread on it? Not half an inch of commando sole, but perhaps a few mm? Would need a bit more than danite, but that'll do as a last resort

You can get plenty of loafers without the beef roll. It's a minor quibble. I find the insertion of a penny kind of crass though. What is it supposed to signify?
Hmmm I seem to have made a Crass pun there.

Someone was asking about shoe trees a while back. Think these are a good buy:
Just got these Church's for 35 quid for work. Odd sized apparently but I can't see / feel any difference. Arrived yesterday. Well chuffed.

WTF am I going to wear this summer then?
Boat shoes - Too ubiquitous / No one's going to notice if you've bought quality ones
Suede - Just no.
Loafers / Driving shoes - I'm not Peter StringfellowSo what does that leave me for a lightweight looking casualish shoe?
Grenson Finn is literally the only thing I fancy. Any suggestions? Try to keep it under £300.

Not that casual, really. But I like them.

I did that with a pair of Sebago loafers, bought some old US cents.
