Works for me too. Ed - do you just not know how to turn on captions?
-

Are they maybe just auto captioned though? They're usually pretty useless at reflecting what's actually being said

I love the Harry Dwyer stuff.
I found this a strangely emotional watch, AI learning the board game Go, and going to to play a grand master. I was vaguely aware of the news story at the time, but the documentary is fantastic.

This.
Try watch it without sound and see how practical it is, it’s harder to watch with your eyes fixed on waiting for each word popping up instead of each sentence.
Quite a few people managed to convert it to closed captioning like Francis Cade, Katie Kookaburra etc.
Bizarrely GCN have gone from providing full captioning to every video to “sorry we can’t be arsed to do it” in the last years or so despite being a major company only haphazardly adding a couple or so poorly captioned content (that they paid someone to do (!!))

Seems like such a trivial fix given they’re already doing the voice recognition.

YouTube are terrible at making their site accessible, Instagram have roll out their auto captioning that are better formatted, granted it’s not perfect but it’s much easier to watch and read at the same time.

A bit of cross over from the watch thread, this bloke is a genius. And he's a Yorkshireman. No speech.

Ed Pratt has a new series, cycling the south west coast of England on a tandem with his girlfriend. He's also teased some new content in Georgia. Production levels keep getting better!
