I went to the forum at the university...the campus didn't look too bad but the rest was pretty crap.

5th floor is a riding collective in London.
I take it amberLDN is some member or friend who's been shunned by the lot of them, or maybe just Jonny fitz.

is that like skyride? are they scared to commute on their own? do they wear matching bibs?

It's a bit like Team Totally Awesome...minus the irony.

I don't get it. There are a few of these groups...some of my mates are even in them, but I would be hard pressed to explain what the hell they are or why they exist.

I had never thought about amberLDN until this all started.

Nah, I can see the logic tbh. Just a group of mates who ride together and hold events etc.
I have mates who live near me who I can call up and just go for a quick or a long ride.
Just like going skating or bmxing with your mates, you roll in your own group.

Fgl have taken the whole "tight knit group" thing to the next level by starting their courier company.
