I challenged the flat battery to a stare down- it blinked first.

Jump start no longer needed.

I got one of those emergency battery things at Maplins. It charges from the mains and sits in the boot of your car until you need it, holds it's charge for 3 months. It also has a compressor for blowing up flat tyres.

Depends on voltage to get fuel pump working and injectors operating and other stuff.

The lesson here is ALWAYS get 'Home Start' when you sort your breakdown cover

Intelligent chrger for less than 15 quid

Does any one living east have any jump leads that I can borrow.
