I've just worked out that since turning 18, this will be my 7th Xmas OS/away from family. I mean I like xmas and all that, and I'm excited about it BUT ffs, its just another day in the 365 that make up a year. I don't get why there is so much bitching and moaning about people not being able to make it 'home' for xmas. If you miss your family that much, visit them the week after xmas. If you like turkey so much, roast one next weekend. Its all just a bit silly in my mind. The No of shit gifts being bought as I type just so someones name can get crossed off the shopping list. Its just lost its meaning and turns lots of people daft.

Use some inventiveness. Flying planes is easy - I've been doing it for years. Stroll about till you find an unattended peaked cap - there are loads around airports - then walk purposefully towards an aircraft. If you see anyone female, just say "weeeel heeeello" in the style of Terry Thomas, and for blokes, just scowl a lot; no one will suspect a thing.

Hop aboard, fire her up, and you're on the way home. Don't forget to take the handbrake off. Head East till you see big land, then turn left till you see the big white cliffs. Then aim for the big smelly blob with a Gherkin in the middle.

Should be back in time for a swift half before closing if you get a wiggle on.
