Thanks for the reports DJ, sounds like it's all under control, Johnny hats off (again) for your road to nowhere, keep going sir.
ha ha, currently at 0 kms. Heading out in half an hour to clear the fog in my cranium and play catchup.
There's still plenty of time to catch up and get the 500km in the bag. There's a few people who have already shot past the target and are really going for it!
There are also quite a few late starters, there's been a couple of hundred people signed up since yesterday.
I'm still updating my blog at the end of the day but everyone's obviously finding it as tedios as I am and stopped visiting!
Keep up the good work everyone - the weather has been excellent and growing more and more envious of those of you able to ride.

Strava on your phone maybe? Be nice to see how we are all doing, spur each other along sort of thing.
they don't make strava for blackberry.. that I know of!
Have managed over 320k so far - all of it in 25-35mph wind (with 60 mph gusts!), mud and rain in Wales. Seriously tough. Not sure I'm going to be able to get through it all though unfortunately due to a small work disaster.

Just a smidge over 200k today. Loving this mild weather.

Yeah, it's lovely out there right now.
Be interesting to get a total elevation to go with the distances that people are doing.

If I'd had a garmin before Xmas I would be two fifths of the way to this.

I am failing miserably. 50 pathetic miles round the Staffordshire Moorlands on Xmas Eve. I thought the headwind going over the Roaches was tough, till I got it as a sidewind on the way back. I then got very nostalgic about the headwind.
Have now had 2 days festering on the couch with a cold, eating left-overs. I reckon I'm about ready to venture out - but have decided that my planned assualt on Winnats Pass can wait till the spring.

Nearly done. Have about 170k to go. Tempted to knock it on the head tomorrow but the wind has been up around 20mph on the coast all week and I'm starting to get bored of headwinds. Have been riding fixed too, I'm not used to this sort of fixed mileage.
So...easy option and just pootle around for the rest of the week to notch it up or should I just man up and ride it out tomorrow?

177 left to do, really enjoyed it so far.
I think I will do that over the next three days.

200km left. all my riding has been leisurely and un-raphalike.

i have 167k to go and decided not riding today! My riding has been very TNRC like and uneventful too. I owe Scarlett as I rode only his routes

I never thought that I would enjoy riding on my own so much

I'm levelled. My remaining miles will be riden on the way home tomorrow.

Rest day ftw.
I'm not likely to surpass the current leaders and I've got more important things to aim for. -

Rest day ftw.
I'm not likely to surpass the current leaders and I've got more important things to aim for.Who'd have thought that a diet of meat and whisky was not conducive to peak physical performance?

Only dry and non-windy day here for the last week and I have spent the whole day fannying around doing family stuff.. arg. Could have got another 100k done today easily. Damn

I'm at 452 so hopefully I can drag the remainder out tonight. I'm starting to feel it a bit so I'm definitely having a day off tomorrow regardless.

I've done 155 km. I have 3 days left? Essentially no chance I'll bang out the 500, but tomorrow my sidis should arrive, which means around 100km trip to get cleats.... I'm just enjoying getting out there. Done 3 12km runs as well >>>>>running thread.
Also wondering whereabouts I'll rank in the office...

Went out on the Levels today (Somerset) to nudge the counter over 225. Ended up walking through miles of peat bog, thanks to my inept google map reading skills. It was as if Father Ted were doing the Cassock 500.

I'm done. 522km.
I'm having a day off tomorrow and then I'll try and add a few bonus km before the end on Saturday. Off for a lie down now.
