About this marvellously sophisticated name-play joke that keeps occurring to the point where the brainless few now think it passes as a forum in-joke: take stock and realise you are tricking people who are here to discuss bikes into looking at pornography that involves a woman eating and covering herself in shit. Despite your fascination with it and your resulting childish point-and-laugh at it, an awful lot of people who haven't a natural inclination towards it as a fetish find it totally shocking and offensive, not something to snigger at.
Added to that, it is entirely possible that someone could lose their job as a result of that appearing on their work screen. Have you ever worked in the world of office based companies Ed? They have their own HR departments and allsorts, you'd be amazed at the stringent clauses they put into contracts about viewing pornography at work.

A few noobs might be shocked, but nobody who has been here any length of time has a right to expect everything here to be SFW. Some fora have scripts to bowdlerise the language, and you're welcome there if LFGSS is too strong for you.
Yes, Ed has used the gag to the point of tedium, but that is obvious without the need for a diatribe from Jimjams, so I suspect his fake outrage is driven more by egotism than any concern either for the sensibilities or the reputation of the forum.

That's what puzzles me unless posts have been edited: he suggested someone Google Veronica Moser but did not tell him it would be NSFW which was a faux pas. But the other guy then goes and posts a large pic of her and as far as I can see no one has asked him to delete it (though I now have in a PM).

Am I missing something? If I image search for VM on google.co.uk on default settings, there is little to offend on page 1. So, people would have deliberately to have turned off safe search to see the offending material. The results of a web search are so obviously going to lead to potentially offensive material that only somebody deliberately seeking to be offended (or somebody who shares Ed's scat fetish) would actually click through to any of the results. The image posted is essentially indistinguishable from an image of somebody getting a mud pack at the spa without the contextual knowledge of VM's career.
Seems like a lot of unnecessary fuss about a slightly tired old joke from somebody trying to hold himself up as the forum's great crusader against political incorrectness.
