boxing day is not new years

I'm planning a pint or several with a pal and her Dad who turns out to be a retired framebuilder. Might well amble down later as a non-bowler but enthusiastic drink though if I may.

I would say I'm less than an enthusiastic bowler, but it was a tradition for a few years that Adrienne, me, her brother and sister, brother-in-lan and neice would walk over to a bowling alley near her parents place in Montreal over Christmas. This could be a suitable way of reviving the tradition for a year.
