  • Most of these people seem to be considerably larger than you, Sam. Do they ride bikes? :)

  • Awesome, I'm bracing myself for the BDO Worlds next week

Ha! Freddie Flintoff and Eric Bristow are big units, and Rod Harrington made me stand one step lower than him.

  • I'm really tempted to start watching darts.

Steven Dry's twitter feeds about the game got on my tits at first, but I'm getting drawn in.

My wife would never forgive me if she found me slumped in front of the box watching darts though.

  • And how fucking massive is Flintoff!

Look how big his head is! Just look at it! It's like a grit bin!

  • I can't look beyond that shirt I'm afraid

  • No wonder. The massive fucker fills the screen.

  • No Tony Green in the commentary box at The Lakeside, poor chap's ill. No terrible puns and mangled English to look forward to. Still, some good checkout business yesterday from the tungsten-warriors; a 156 or so, and then a 170. Good work, pub-dwellers.

  • Potential cracking come back from Chizzy on BBC2 at the moment

  • I really like Chisnall. He's tough. Good competitor.

  • 'Grit bin'. chuckles

  • Silverback OUT!

  • Much as I admire the grass roots ethos of the BDO, the real darts is on at Ally Pally. Gary Anderson is throwing some incredible stuff.

  • Haven't got sky, otherwise I'd be watching both, would have loved to have seen Anderson thrash the Power..

  • That was Mark Webster.

  • ...thrashing the Power.

  • Fail, it was Anderson beating Barney wasn't it?
See what happens when I don't have Sky...

  • I'm taking advantage of the cheap Sky iPhone app subscription offer this month (don't know if it's still on).

Lewis v Webster right now is great too. Come on, Jackpot!

  • What's going on? Hankey's stopped chucking bats into the audience during his entrance

  • Oh, Ted.

  • What's going on? Hankey's stopped chucking bats into the audience during his entrance

No Cape either, it was obviously his undoing - as the Irish fella said - he never made it out of his coffin

Shame - I was looking forward to seeing 'The Rage' later on in the tournament.

  • Can't start watching till John Boy Walton's out - his gorilla wife is terrifying.

  • Not as terrifying as Hankey's mum.

  • I've met Ted (+ Sarah) - he's much smaller than I expected.

Thankfully Ma Hankey was nowhere to be seen.

  • 'John-Boy' vs 'Wolfie' is the only match where I would rather saw off my legs than cheer one or the other on. I think I may dislike 'John-Boy' even more, which is like choosing your method of death in advance.
