Embarrassed to show my ignorance here but could you please elaborate on these two comments?

"seat pin's continental"

I think it means the spokes are on the outside of the rim and the seat pin likes a croissant for breakfast and smokes in bed.

I think that the colour will put people off. Probably best to respray the frame to something more modern and desirable. Like baby blue. Then it would be gorgeous.

this prices are orientative,

Thing is that seatpost is an odd size (from Decathlon I think) and the Pug cranks certainly point to it being an old gas pipe Peugeot.

Splitting really is the best option. You could even get something reasonable for the frame on the bay if its in good nick but please include the bb, headset (?), handle bar stem (and bars) and seatpin which are all pigs to source for french oddities.

Actually what I would probably do if it were mine shudders (if I didn't split)

Replace the brooks with a white saddle, get a 700c front wheel with corresponding new brake and maybe fit some white hipster tyres, remove the inner chainring, and lower the handlebar stem. Stick it on the bay and cross my fingers for £100 with some ot sales patter. Sell the brooks and front wheel separately.
