Braker, sucks buddy, however if you need tips on riding with a broken foot I'm sure Digger can provide information and possibly loan of a very swanky cane.

jayloo, and you a baker of considerable excellence. I'll ask her for her recipe for you.
oh, thank you! we just don't make them much in the states. only at thanksgiving and only old people like them.

• #158
RoooOOOOoooob! I was looking forward to saying hi, haven't seen you in a while. Well, OK. Fine then.

it's a geographical issue that's the problem, I don't live down there anymore.
I have 'people' here, but will be well away from them on the actual day, probably hammering my cross bike on Clent Hills.
I'd just like to be whipping through zone 1 with you muppets, that's not bad is it?/sad face
Take your skis/board clent is lush at the moment.

I iz hearing how Braker broke his foot:
He iz had the wet feet (rain cyclings) so was drying them in the oven (135° / gas mark 1) and accidently slammed the oven door on his foot???
-
• #162
^ Lucky he has a towel to dry his head

• #163
shame you were not there to hold it with your mouth

Broken foot means i'm now 50/50
EDIT: Just seen that Chainbreaker is in, so more like 30/70
just as well you use cleats so you only need one leg!
-
• #167
You can use wood screws to affix cleats to the bottom of a cast. Just incase you didn't know.

I'm impressed that you managed to get your leg up so high - all that can-can dancing must be really paying off.Anyway you wanna be careful doing that, you could easily pull a muscle in your back - or was the "elderly black disabled homeless woman" already on the ground?
-
• #169
people shrink as they get older. disabled people often require the use of wheelchairs. homeless people can often be seen sleeping on the ground.
I can't believe I'm talking about the logistics of such a thing.

You can use wood screws to affix cleats to the bottom of a cast. Just incase you didn't know.
If anyone has a weight-bearing (i.e. fibreglass) cast and would like a cleat attached, Bobbinbird (who is training to be an orthopaedic cast technician) can get the Scotchcast and will be happy to affix it.
My Christmas plans have changed a bit, so I'm in, dodgy back notwithstanding

@MadeinMelburn, not that I organised this ride, but you'll be very welcome. as far as I'm concerned, the more the merryer!
-
• #173
MadeinMelburn, you're why I organise this ride each year. Please do come along.
Right, I need to go sort a bike out so I can deliver it to a friend for tomorrow.
I'll be back this evening if anyone has any last minute questions, failing that see you all tomorrow morning, 8.45ish, Oxford Circus.

Can we move this back to 11am so I can go get shit-faced tonight?

Why not just keep going and then 9 will seem more appealing anyway.
