Same. Epic blister just popped on my right index finger :(

I use quite cheap gloves at the minute because I'm forever fucking them up. Or maybe it's because they're so cheap I am.... I got some great gel ones from Aldi which are really comfy, padded and grippy! Quite a few of us in Brum use the infamous pound shop gloves. Seriously.

Doesn't get much cheaper, apart from pound shops obviously, but these won't help with blisters, just with mallets and bikes on your hands.
With most gloves I've found it pays to put hockey tape on the mallet hand thumb because they wear out quickly.
Margs uses some paintball gloves but they've worn down and are giving her blisters as well. I guess most gloves will wear quickly if you play a lot.

I have a pair of motorcycle gloves that give some protection to the knuckles. Leather palms, no padding. The mallet thumb wore and I patched it with hockey tape.

Started wearing my winter gloves (ironclad) for polo once it got cold enough. They don't have additional padding or protection but are strong and have good grip on the palms (less wear). Too warm for summer, though, so I've been wearing my spring/summer full fingered gloves that are slowly becoming more hockey tape than gloves. They have little padding (meant for riding) and no protection on the back.

I haven't put much thought into protection, figure I don't play hard enough. I guess I'm waiting for the epic shot to the hand before I bother buying anything fancier (yeah, kind of reactionary, I blame my pocketbook).

Cheers ladies. This has given me something to ponder. The problem is I have a love hate relationship with fingerless.

On another note. Just had a brill polo night with the Boys.

+1 for the tape. I use black electrical tape/same stuff I use on my bars on some bits of my fingers/gloves. I look like an idiot but it works for sure.

Although I hate having my fingers covered so I wear gloves that stop just past my knuckles so protect most blister spots but still have them out a bit. (sounds weird)

I have some size small summer motorbike gloves for sale if anyone wants them. They've got plastic knuckles and leather palm. £7
