There can be no question that European polo is now at the same level as N America. Congrats to CMD!

Same level? Whut? Euro polo > NA polo (maybe).

Am I the only one that finds it a little lame when winning teams congratulate each other first, before shaking hands with the opposition?

Not really, seems fairly natural to me.

I can't think of any good reason to stop the game at the end of regulation time. But I wasn't party to the NAH rules discussion, so perhaps there is one that I am too obtuse to conceive of.
I don't know if it's a good reason, but there seemed to me to often be a bit of confusion with golden goal in that a lot of people don't hear the ref shout it.
Not saying in these cases the ref was too quiet, just that when a player is focussed on the game they will ignore stuff that isn't aimed directly at them... Hmmm I don't think I'm explaining myself well.
Having said that, I prefer the no interruption version.

Was so funny hearing the shoutouts and texts in from across the world.
Seriously, one of the best organised tournaments ive ever been to. The boards were perfect, niced ad high ,great surface. 6 courts, next to a lake! Food provided every day (i barely spent anything!)
Good ideas were:
PA system
Suncream sponsor (free all the time)
Clif bar as a sponsor, free snacks for days.
Refs were high up in shade
So many balls on ice, you could change out whenever you wanted -

Meh, it's gone now. Replaced by some postcode celebratory remarks.
