  • Why did that guy in that car kill Morpheus? Neither Wikipedia nor IMDB explain this and I don't want to have to watch the film to find out because it is rated as universally terrible.

he started out by running "dangerous" stuff for him and then stopped working for him and began cutting his grass and dealing in his territory or some shit. That's why when the sheila started working for him the courier community banded together to support her and warn her of his dangers...ultimately leading to the greatest bike/car chase ever to take place on the streets of New York and San Francisco simultaneously in Hollywood history.

  • Oh yeah....and on topic. I need a lesson after today....with 700x32 vittoria cross tyres i still had about 12 brown pants moments

  • warned you about those kobbles fausto not good for ice and slush nothing to grip.
Put on some soft wide slicks and you can have a free lesson if you fill in a TfL monitoring form

  • in seriousness though, i did find drivers pretty bad on the way home tonight. A lot of impatience. In the morning (through Dulwich and Peckham...no salt or grit) it was pretty good. Tonight through Brixton/Streatham and Green Lanes to T/H there were some pretty rude passing moves.

  • this guy

  • Not sure where to post this but what about cycling training advertising in various spots? I have sometimes seen on my route to work (mainly on Clapham Common) a tent with the bike doctor and other bits organised by the borough (I think). Are there any plans to do that?

I just can't bear watching cyclists going on the inside of a vehicle that has indicated left and all the rest. I have been travelling on the hell highway, aka CS7 at peak times and it has been just too much. So I am just dreaming of a very diplomatic trainer who could go to the person and explain to them in an inspiring way how cycling could be a different and so much more pleasant experience.

  • VeeVee; there will be a Lambeth funded HGV awareness/Dr Bike event on the north side of Clapham Common tomorrow run by CTUK from 17.30 till 19.30. I will be there, pop along and say hello. A large part of it is to try and get people to take up Cycle Training. The question of publicity and budgets is always a vexed one, especially at the moment with all the cuts. Feel free to come along and pick up some flyers if you think you might know people who would be interested.

  • Will, in that case I'll be seeing you there tomorrow.

  • Er, erm, I meant Thursday Ed, yes, Thursday, that's right.

  • lol

  • does anyone know what day it is today?

  • The first day of the rest of your life?

  • A bad day at Black Rock?

  • The day of the Triffids?

  • Excellent. Yes it's on my way so I'll stop by. A lot of cyclists stop by at those events so you're going to be busy. (Well I hope so).

  • The first day of the rest of your life?

    The day of the Triffids?

    All wrong, Groundhog day,
have fun on the common 'working' :-)

  • Will, if you see a bearded one that looks like Jesus, don't let him go by, he definitely needs some training :)

  • I think it is time we had a thread on here advertising public events

  • But if they won't stop for red lights because they'll be late for work, how will they stop by at Will's stall?

They'll be hours late after listening politely to his reminiscences of working life in a 1960's coal mining town, starting out with fond recollections of freshly baked bread cooling on hardwood windowsills, the honest dirt on the calloused hands of kindly old Mr. Noakes at the cycle shop as he was shown how to mend his first puncture... But sadly, as ever, these wistful anecdotes will soon turn into a bitter, wrath filled rant against "those bastards in t' town hall" and the "the scum" before the poor commuters can mutter their weak excuses and scurry to their hybrids.

  • They stop because there might be FREE things. Like my colleague who collects litres of soya milk just because "they were giving it away at Victoria station, but I hate soya milk".

  • ...The bloody cuts...

  • Er, erm, I meant Thursday Ed, yes, Thursday, that's right.

That's a shame, in that case I'll see you tomorrow.

  • see you later Ed
