I liked the fact that when there were three people in the old shop it looked packed!
It's good to see, I've been a regular customer at Sigma for ten years and they are all lovely people.

Interested to see such a huge space fully packed with stuff... The other shop always had that candy store feel to it.

Is anyone having trouble with the Sigma Sport website?
I'm trying to buy some tyres and every time I get to the part where I pay (after I've gone to all the trouble of entering my nuisance address manually) the 'wait/thinking' icon appears and the screen greys out.
I tried it on both my laptop and phone and got the same result.

I've sorted it by opening an account instead of checking out as a guest.
The page that had stalled is still going strong though.....

They recently updated their website so this ^ could be teething problems .

Bump. Bought a bike frame earlier this week and kept getting declined at checkout. Bought it on Mrs Sparky's card in the end. Then found out that they'd taken payment each time I was told it'd been declined: four times. I called to complain and they said I had to call my bank and get authorisation codes and pass them back. I did this and they said it'd be fixed in 24 hours, which is good because my mortgage payment is due and I'm going to be charged for being overdrawn. More than 24 hours later and it's still not resolved and when I get in touch again I'm told "that is everything complete at our end". Not best pleased. Still, new bike on the way...

Customer service is not their strong point to say the least. Had really frustrating experiences with them this summer.

This has annoyed me. Can't imagine using them again. They didn't even apologise.

There was a clusterfuck involving their workshop and my bike which involved me not having a bike for 10 days, masses of inconvenience etc etc.
Fucks given by Sigma Sport = 0
Aggressive defence of pisspoor work by their work shop manager (who was actually the culprit) - a couple of staff were aghast at how I was treated. I doubt I'd spend money with them again.

Weird, they've been pretty good with the few times I've bought stuff and their supplier has delayed delivery - someone phoned me, asked if I wanted a refund, gave me the new ship date when requested...ok so minimum standard stuff but it certainly wasn't as bad as ^.

they do stock some good stuff tho

That's a shame. When I got measured up for a bike the other day one of their sales staff, Leon, was nothing but helpful. Went totally above and beyond to get me measured.

Their body proportion measurement fit was indicating I would need one size larger frame than I actually need. I was told they usually charge £45 for taking the three measurements and typing them into a computer.

There is a humongous clearance sale at the Kingston Specialised shop BTW.
Mate picked up some FFWD Carbon clinchers for 800
Sigmasports new store has its grand opening today. I was lucky enough to be there last night at the preview and was totally blown away. The bar for cycle shops as a retail experience has been raised several levels. The official opening is noon today and I think there are goody bags for the first 500. In short it is awesome.
