Sucks for Donius but it's good to see that this forum got the wheel back to it's rightful owner. That shows the positive power of this forum.
There is a guy out there though that stole a whole bike, not just this wheel, and is smart enough to break it down and sell it in pieces.
Donius, this is where you have the power. This forum probably has more man power and skills than the cops to get the rest of the bike back. Can you trace your gumtree steps? Find the original post? Write to gumtree to request the info? If you can post this stuff maybe we can get back the rest of the bike or at least get this guy arrested and away from our bikes for a bit.
If your information here on the forum leads to the arrest of the right guy I am sure this forum will be more than happy to pay you back your £120.
Then it's a success story for everyone!

What you mean like successfully recovering a stolen wheel and returning it to it's rightful owner (assumes po-po aren't rocking it on their Trek mtbs)?
Sorry, shouldn't have been posting last night. Drunk and too late :)
The po-po did a great job in this instance.

Big up to the police! The system works. Thin blue line rules etc.
Now I 'm going to report some sellers from Gumtree.
